Sweet Treat

I love to top off a good meal with something sweet. Here is a Weight Watcher dessert that I love!

1 tub of fat free cool whip
1/2 cup of reduced fat peanut butter
Mix together and then pour into a muffin tin
drizzle with Hershey's chocolate syrup
Freeze for 6-8 hours
Makes about 8

I also like:
skinny cow's ice cream sandwiches
weight watcher's chocolate cookie dough ice cream(thank God it comes in individual servings otherwise I would eat the whole pint in one sitting)

Appetizer

I snagged this great idea from 2 of my bestie's in Ohio, Nancy and Trotter(also known as Trottina, shortened to Tina...she's such a slut!)

Buy some rosemary bread from the grocery store(in the bakery)
Put it on a baking sheet and bake it at 200 for about 1o minutes(enough to add a little crunch)
On a plate grate some Parmesan cheese and season with whatever you like. I use salt and pepper. Drizzle evoo(extra virgin olive oil) on this mixture and when the bread comes out of the oven, dip it into this fab-o concoction and your guests will love it!

Healthy Chips

When I am in the mood to have chips & salsa, instead of getting tortilla chips at the store that have 7 grams of fat in 14 chips I make my own and they are so good! And being that Mexican is my favorite type of food, I make these a lot

PAM Chips
Mission corn tortillas(Extra Thin)
Cut them in to 4's
Spray a baking sheet with PAM and then spray PAM on the tortillas
Sprinkle with kosher salt
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes(Every oven is different so keep an eye on them)

My psycho self has been known to bring these along with me when I go out to eat at a Mexican restaurant!

100 calorie obsessed!

I love 100 calorie snacks and here are a few of my fave's

Pepperidge Farm whole wheat mini bagels(my breakfast at the moment)

  • they have only 100 calories per bagel...so I have 2
  • I make one with Weight Watchers whipped cream cheese and the other with Brummel & Brown strawberry yogurt spread(OMG it tastes like butter)

Right Bites Chocolate Deluxe chocolate chip cookies

Right Bites Fudge stripe cookies

kettle popcorn(I think Orville is the best)

hostess cupcakes

Ritz sour cream & onion

Burger & Fries

I really enjoy a good burger and fries, so when I have a craving for this I make the healthier version at home.

I have 2 ways to make this meal. One takes a little more time than the other.

Version 1
The Burger:
Ground turkey or lean ground beef
1 package of Lipton Onion Seasoning(on the dressing isle)
A little bit of water
Stir together in a bowl and form patties
Spray PAM in a skillet and cook them, I am really not sure for how long. 4-5 minutes on each side
The Fry:
Line a baking sheet with foil
Peel a regular(or sweet)potato
Slice thin
Spray with PAM
Sprinkle with seasoned salt
Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes

Version 2
Burger:
Frozen veggie burgers(I like garden burger, but Boca has a flame grilled one that is pretty good
Nature's own has a sugar free wheat bun that is delish!
2% cheese slice(I like cheddar of pepper jack)
Whatever fixin's you like

Fast Fries
Ore Ida Golden Fries(in the frozen section)They have 130 calories and 3.5 grams of fat in 14. That is only 2 WW points

Lunchie Lunchie take 2!

A few other things I like to have for lunch:

Asian Salad

Romaine Lettuce

Deli Turkey(I like the mosquite turkey by Oscar Meyer)

Mandarin Oranges(they have them in the can)

Edamame

Sprinkle of 2% shredded mozerella or parmasean cheese

Crunchy Asian Noodles(on the asian isle)

Matchstick Carrots

Kraft Light Asian Seasame dressing

Turkey sandy on a wasa crisp

Wasa Crisps(I use the rye and I use 2)

spread laughing cow cheese on the cracker

Then put on the deli turkey

Roma tomatos sprinkled with kosher salt & cracked pepper

I think I am going to try it with fresh basil on top next time!!!

My other foodie friend Brandy has decided that one week she is going to bring the fixin's to make the cracker sandy's and I am going to bring the stuff to make a side salad for us to have! I am tote excited:-)

Lunchie Lunchie

I love Smart Ones for a couple of reasons.
  1. They are cheap!
  2. They count the Weight Watcher points for you
  3. They are Tasty!

My fave's are:

  1. Chicken Enchilada Suiza
  2. Spinach Florentine Lasagna
  3. Broccoli & Cheese potato's

Bob(trainer on the Biggest Loser, also known as my boyfriend) says you should keep your sodium at 500 mg per meal. Now these do go a little over that but oh well, sweat it off that retained water at the gym!
